We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Dispatch Rider to provide prompt and secure delivery of documents, parcels, and other items on behalf of the organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent knowledge of road safety, maintain a professional appearance, and deliver outstanding service while representing our brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver documents, parcels, and items securely and on time to designated locations as directed by supervisor.
- Carry out routine pre-ride and post-ride checks on the assigned motorcycle.
- Identify and promptly report any mechanical or electrical faults to the supervisor or technician.
- Ensure the motorcycle is kept clean and in good working condition at all times.
- Perform basic periodic maintenance tasks including oil checks and tyre pressure monitoring.
- Refuel the motorcycle as instructed and maintain accurate fuel records.
- Report any accidents, injuries, or damage to the motorcycle or items in transit to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a logbook recording delivery routes, travel times, and work hours.
- Keep all records related to the motorcycle, including maintenance receipts and service logs.
- Perform errands and other duties as assigned from time to time.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong knowledge of road safety rules and responsible riding practices.
- Familiarity with major routes and traffic patterns within Accra and surrounding areas.
- Ability to detect minor mechanical faults and carry out basic motorcycle maintenance.
- Good customer service skills and professional frontline etiquette.
- Neat appearance and strict adherence to company dress code and safety gear requirements.
- High standard of personal hygiene and presentation.
- Punctual, dependable, and committed to timely service delivery.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and a local language.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of B.E.C.E certification
- Must possess a valid driver’s license – minimum of License A.
- Prior dispatch or courier experience in a corporate or financial services environment is an added advantage
- Age: 30-45 years
